POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The General Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer experiences by creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through their eagerness and sincere willingness to help, in-depth product knowledge, high brand awareness, and efficient execution of operations and various aspects of customer service.
This successful candidate will have a well rounded skill set of leadership, outdoor supply knowledge, point of sale and customer service expertise.
Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
Be product subject matter expert in several product lines not limited to optics, ammunition, fishing supplies, hunting supplies, electronic hunting accessories.
Have the ability to assist the cashiers when the customer demands require additional efforts.
Promote company programs (i.
e.
, customer loyalty program participation, special sales, other sales inventive programs.
).
Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.
Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and are treated with respect.
Keep the shelves and display cases stocked, neat and presentable.
Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
Possible duties such as sweeping, mopping or shoveling snow may be required.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
Prior retail sales, and customer-focused experience is required.
POS experience and fluent skills in data management are a must.
Documented leadership experience with comfort in performance counseling.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 40 to 55 lbs.

Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 5 hours) standing or walking.
Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
